Crack the Code: Chiropractic Explained in a Nutshell

Transparent SpineI was reading a book called “Chiropractic Insights”, by Christopher Kent, D.C., Esq. and came across a section (p 196) that I thought said a lot about the core of what Chiropractic is, and it did it very succinctly.  It quotes a section from a document created by the Association of Chiropractic Colleges on the “unique paradigm of chiropractic care”.

“4.0 The Subluxation.  Chiropractic is concerned with the preservation and restoration of health, and focuses particular attention on the subluxation.  A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system function and general health.  A subluxation is evaluated, diagnosed and managed through the use of chiropractic procedures based on the best available rational and empirical evidence.”

It is well articulated and is one of the more concise descriptions of Chiropractic that I have heard or read.  It goes to the essence of Chiropractic philosophy and how that vision frames what Chiropractors do and why they do it.

If you want help optimizing your organ system function and general health, we’re your go-to doctor!

Love it!
