Roadblocks or Detours? How you frame challenges can determine the outcome.

What do you see when you look at an obstacle?

What do you see when you look at an obstacle?

Hard moments can feel like roadblocks. The flat tire when you are already late for your plane. The pain or distressing symptom that has you wondering what it might mean. The tough conversation that you’ve been avoiding. ANY plan that didn’t go the way you hoped. It’s easy to ask, “Why is this happening to me?”

But what if it’s happening FOR you?

Challenges have a way of stretching us to solve problems and fortify resilience we didn’t know we had. They invite us to slow down, reassess, adjust, and grow. Not always comfortable or convenient – but often purposeful.

Maybe the obstacle isn’t blocking our path but creating the opportunity for more awareness, a much needed pause or even a detour. Maybe the symptom isn’t meant to hurt, but to help us identify and reduce unhealthy routines. Maybe this is a long awaited chance to strengthen our skills and re-assert our resolve towards something even greater.

Just maybe you are meant for something even greater than you can currently imagine and this challenge is your ticket of admission!

Symptoms can be seen this way as well… it is empowering to recognize the symptom as your ally through the challenge.

We’d love to help you do just that and discover your path to higher results.

Yes, I sure question why my situation showed up in mid November. I thought I was proactive in prevention. Perhaps it was a sneaky virus/bacteria that attacked my vital organs. Still wondering and checking..... Shirley

Hello Shirley, So many factors impact us. We will have greater awareness of, and influence over, some factors more than others and we won't ever know them all. You do a great job with the ones you can influence, and that has built as solid a foundation as possible. Travel, change in climate, changes to routine, perhaps diet... all require adaptation, even when they are positive changes. I have no doubt that you have what it will take to rebuild and that your optimistic disposition will find the silver lining even in this reset. We look forward to seeing your bright shining smile again soon and helping you do just that!! Wishing you continued healing in the interim. Dr. K
