Connect To Life’s Sleep Week and Sleep Month is coming to a close today. The focus was on impacting the quality of sleep, and it’s amazing what we see when we look closely.

We’ve discussed sleeping postures, general health practices that allow sleep to come more easily, routines and environments to encourage restorative sleep, pillows, mattresses and other sleep props that support optimal sleep ergonomics, and, of course, we’ve been adjusting you to release subluxations that interfere with health, healing, self-regulation and your ability to get a great night’s sleep. During April, our Sleep Month, we’ve encouraged you to pay more attention to your sleep needs and offered our help to optimize your current sleep level.
A couple things we’ve had the pleasure of witnessing this week:
- One of our newest Practice Members came to us because of chronic neck pain. Even though his pain and restricted motion were considerable, what really stood out to him was how much more comfortably and better he was sleeping… right after his 1st adjustment. His neck is improving, but the stand-out change was with the quality of his sleep. And how important is that going to be to his recovery and enjoyment of life!!
- After inviting people to get in on our recent pillow order, we had responses not just from new people wanting to get sized to try out a properly fitted pillow, but by others who were so happy with their first pillow that they wanted to buy a second… for travelling, to leave at the cottage, just because their previous one was now old and needed to be replaced. We’ve always had a great response with these pillows, but it’s a joy to see how many people are experiencing a better life because of such a simple thing… a well designed and properly fitted pillow.
We encourage you to read our May Newsletter. The first article discusses how chiropractic care influences sleep; “Research using brain-wave monitoring shows that chiropractic adjustments produce measurable changes in the nervous system, including a shift away from the stress-driven patterns that keep the body wound up at night.”
The May Newsletter was just released on our website. You can go there to read it ( May Newsletter ) . If you are a subscriber, a link will be emailed out to you shortly.
Just because Sleep Month is over, doesn’t mean we are finished helping people with their sleep issues! We expect that to be part of our ongoing story. So sleep well, and don’t hesitate to bring us your sleep challenges,
Dr.K
